Life Sometimes Gets in The Way
So I had the best intentions...I saved all the bucket lists, I planned, I prepared...
But then I went on vacation and I swear-2 months got away from me....I've gone looking for them and I'm not sure where they have gone off to.
SO, I am recommitting to the project, with a new resolve to keep to the bucket lists and not waver. I'm also including a blog post section in my new planner to try and keep me on track. Share in the comments some ideas that you use to keep on top of your blogging efforts.
With the last day of October being tomorrow, I will start fresh with November 1st. And you know, as sad as I'll be to see October disappear for another 365 days, I'm super pumped for the season of giving and gratitude.
I have some fall crafts to complete, an new renovated area of the house to decorate, a new Christmas tree to buy, a brand spanking new holiday tradition to start, and a gratitude tree to do with my kids. Plus I have to setup my new Christmas advent and plan for the arrival of the 'elves'! Sheesh, I'm giddy and exhausted already thinking about it.
I'll have to modify Expresso Day, for obvious reasons, and replace the mulled wine with something else. But other than that, it looks pretty good. We will be starting on the 3rd due to a Dia de las Muertos celebration on Friday. We will probably start by finishing the décor, decorating for Thanksgiving and setting up and starting the gratitude tree. And of course, no November would be complete without my Thanksgiving Day bucket list- which includes:
- Make a handprint turkey for the Fridge
- Bake and Eat a Pie (each kid gets to bake one on one with Mommy)
- Watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
- Rid ourselves of all remaining Halloween Candy
- Mail Happy Thanksgiving cards, notes, and pictures to grandparents and cousins
- decorate the table for dinner
- watch the parades
- make fun kid placemats for dinner
- solidify 'elf' placement schedule
- set up my holiday planner
- put a leaf on the gratitude tree every day
- pig out on Turkey Day
